PARIS WEEKEND I’m so sick of this, If I had one wish for you us two What would I lose? I’m so sick of this, if I had one wish for you What would I choose? That you could let it down And we could do the town Like I do____________ If you fear Love If you fear love If you waited to see, the surrender in me How I long __________to stay Come and sit with me Under this old tree, from the sun The day is done Come and sit with me Your arms around me, like we are one Until night comes Whisper in my ear That you like it here Like I do_________ If you fear Love If you fear love If you waited to see, the surrender in me BRIDGE: Paris weaves it way from a doorway of a bar To the next one across the street The old man sighs his habitual way For once he ran as lightly as they How did it come to this, I’d do anything for you What did I do? How did it come to this, If I had just one wish for us two. What would I choose? That there are no more tears And you could share your fears Like I do________ If you fear Love If you fear love If you waited to see, the surrender in me How I long __________to stay

LEAVING LONDON I walked in and found her crying Tears fell into her coffee cup Is somebody dying? Why so sad talk to me what’s up? My best friend is leaving London….I wish I was anywhere but here At first I didn’t know what to say At a loss how to console How long do they plan to be away Maybe its forever I don’t know My best friend is leaving London….I wish I was anywhere but here BRIDGE: When will you be back? Mmmm baby I don’t know Please don’t judge me For now, it’s better this way We talked for about an hour Could hardly leave her this way Her smile opened like a flower With guitar in hand we played My best friend is leaving London….I wish I was anywhere but here

My Fallen Angel My fallen Angel, you tried, so hard Broken by love, you took a chance Didn't last When you find yourself on your own Tears fill your eyes No surprise Hold on tight. Kiss goodnight For the last time You wander 'round the city streets Your heart is full of blame You crash and burn When will you learn That life's not a game My fallen angel, don't hide your heart Remember your dreams They don't belong, fell of dark When you find yourself on your own There’s no need to hide The ache inside Hold on tight. Kiss goodnight For the last time

The Sun Is My Crown 1- We’ve been here for days Six months, a year Sea calm, see rage, see fear Warm tickles of sea foam On this deck of steel swell’s cold fingers’ reach Sea rise sea fall see me I‘ve nothing left to give But oh my, how I want to live The Sun is My Crown My jewels on the sea surround While you decide my fate My salvation can’t wait 2- My smallest sister Is yet unborn Keep safe keep warm born free The dark of night creeps in I gaze out to sea My spirit set free A simple wish made true Rain washes over me See me dance with glee The Sun is My Crown My jewels on the sea surround While you decide my fate My salvation can’t wait

The North Bridge 1- Wind Oh, the wind on the bridge On my skin, in my hair I look down and stare Dangle my feet at the ground As it rises to meet in mid air As it rises to meet in mid air 2- I’ll go with you oh wind Blow away, Throw away It’s the only way To silence my secret, regret My life now lying cold on the ground At four in the morning There is no sound Chorus: I will go with you, wind I will go with you, wind I will fly, I can fly I am free, to be me I can fly, sail away I am free to be me On the wind 3- Wind Oh, the wind on the bridge Brother, lover, my friend It’s the same in the end How did you come to the place? Of no going back no return No going back from where Our souls burn Chorus: I will go with you, wind I will go with you, wind I will fly, I can fly I am free, to be me I can fly, sail away I am free to be me On the wind Outro: I can fly. I can fly I am free to be me I will fly, sail away, I can fly, I am free I will fly, sail away, I am free to be me I can fly, sail away, I am free to be me on the wind

Wild Dogs of London – 1- As the bell tolls the black bird soars There’s time for the boatman to rest his oars As the Witch of St Pancras crosses the Fleet And makes her way to Hampstead Heath Time for rest your weary mind As I travel on the District Line Black is the uniform red is my wine Grey is the matter on my mind Chorus: Thirteen rivers and brooks of London flow Once they passed through field and snow As the wild dogs of London hurry by Stepping out under east London skies 2- His ghost has been seen over the years 50 white hounds with red tipped ears Of Herne the Hunter of folklore and myth His dogs calling him back into the mist The ghostly hunter riding the sky Dressed in skins with his pack close by Domain of demons warn the wise Transform them selves in this disguise Chorus: Thirteen rivers and brooks of London flow Once they passed through field and snow As the wild dogs of London hurry by I step out under east London skies 3- History fades only the legend survives Herne the Hunter Goddess Diana by his side We will never know can’t understand Why his ghost rides this urban land From as far as Windsor to the Isle of Dogs He rides through Pembrokeshire, West Country fog, Once known as Londo the “wild place” Home to London memory trace Chorus: Thirteen rivers and brooks of London flow Once they passed through field and snow As the wild dogs of London hurry by I step out under east London skies

Unfinished Business – We use to come here all the time For the contrast from the world we left behind Staring at the skyline like diamonds in the sky A couple in the corner not wanting to say good-bye Chorus: With unfinished business I’m travelling back to you On the phone, on the train Travelling back to you I’m on thin ice Against all good advice From Canary Wharf The pinnacles dwarf Your resistance to integrate Disturbs My state of mind Stream of people alight without delay Strike a pose in the mind of Ed Gray Heels echo their rhythm on the platform concrete Suits, hats and swaying skirts Step down onto the street Chorus: With unfinished business I’m travelling back to you On the phone, on the train Travelling back to you I’m on thin ice Against all good advice From Canary Wharf The pinnacles dwarf Your resistance to integrate Disturbs My state of mind Glass in high towers obscure the sun I watch on si-lent-ly as others run I make my way back to Mile End and the fumes Cigarette there’s time for one Back to black robes, the empty room Chorus: With unfinished business I’m travelling back to you On the phone, on the train Travelling back to you I’m on thin ice Against all good advice From Canary Wharf The pinnacles dwarf Your resistance to integrate Disturbs My state of

Circling Above There is a way to find out what you cannot explain You want to cry out Why you feel all this pain Last night I said some things better left in my head Feel the tears rolling down I’m drowning instead I know that I’m not good at much Without loving you, Without your touch Last night as I lay down on my bed Watching the night drift by Knowing its better unsaid Bridge Now you’re high again circling above Please come back down to the safety of love These lonely nights become lonely days I want to love you but not in this way I do not want this fight it is hurting me Cuts deep Like a bottomless sea Sorry because I can’t look in to you eyes I know that it’s sad We must say goodbye

about

Wild Dogs of London is the product of a 4 year collaboration of original music with composer Jeremy Challender and singer/songwriter Debra Blaquiere.
Genre? We call it folk/jazz. The music has elements of jazz, country and folk.
In the making of this record we did more than just show up and give it a good go. As songwriters and artists we are exposed, you see our vulnerable selves and imperfections. Its a 'process' not a 'given', through persistence, practice, determination and encouragement.

Add ENORMOUS life altering amounts of time and daily commitment to creating this record, Wild Dogs of London is a milestone on the journey, and testament to all who partook of the process with us.

THANK YOU
To our friends, families and mum’s always with love.
To Michael McGlynn, thanks for believing in us.
To Robert Di Marzo for the happy groove and bottomless pit of friendship.
To the band and musicians for their generosity of spirit and hard work.
